- study of the mechanisms of violation of the regulation of body weight, carbohydrate metabolism; mechanisms of development of insulin resistance, type 2 diabetes and obesity. Development of methods of prevention and correction;
- studies of the role of high-calorie diets (high-fat and high-carbohydrate) and chronic stress in the development of obesity, insulin resistance, metabolic syndrome, elucidation of the mechanisms of gender differences;
- adipose tissue metabolism, endocrine function (white, brown, beige). Browning mechanisms. Possibilities of correction and prospects for the development of drugs for the prevention and treatment of obesity, insulin resistance, type 2 diabetes;
- study of the role of chronic stress in the disruption of key metabolic systems of the body, the development of neuroprotective, immunoprotective anti-stress drugs, food and feed additives;
- development of medicines, functional food additives. Study of the mechanisms of action of biologically active substances of natural and synthetic origin for the creation of new drugs. Preclinical studies of drugs - toxicity assessment (acute, subchronic, chronic);
- creation of medicines, biologically active additives (BAA), functional additives based on plant materials and medicinal plant materials.
