The Institute of Biochemistry of Biologically Active Compounds of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus and the Department of Medical Sciences of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus invite you to take part in the IV International Scientific and Practical Conference "Medical and Biological Problems of Alcohol and Other Addictions" dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the birth of Academician Yu. M. Ostrovsky, which will be held on June 26-27, 2025.
The purpose of the IV International Scientific and Practical Conference "Medical and Biological Problems of Alcohol and Other Addictions" dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the birth of Academician Yu. M. Ostrovsky (Conference) – Is to assess the current state of fundamental and applied research into medical and biological and socio-epidemiological aspects of alcohol and other chemical addictions, expand international cooperation, discuss and develop new joint programs and projects for research activities.
The Conference structure includes plenary reports, speeches by famous scientists from Belarus and other countries, sectional sessions, a specialized exhibition, speeches by manufacturers and developers of medical and scientific support products, laboratory equipment.
A separate section "Young Academy of Biochemistry" is provided: research by young scientists in the field of biochemistry and molecular biology. A competition of reports by young scientists will be held as part of the sectional session.
The main areas of the Conference:
Working languages of the Conference: Belarusian, Russian, English.
The participants of the Conference are offered the opportunity to publish the results of scientific research in the areas of the Conference. By the beginning of the Conference, abstracts of scientific reports will be published (supplement to the journal "Biochemistry and Molecular Biology", the journal is included in the list of scientific publications of Belarus for publishing dissertation results) and the issue of the peer-reviewed scientific and practical journal "Biochemistry and Molecular Biology" will be timed. The electronic version of the journal "Biochemistry and Molecular Biology" and abstracts of reports will be posted on the website of the Institute of Biochemistry of Biologically Active Compounds of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus.

To participate in the Conference and publish your work, you must submit to the Organizing Committee of the Conference by e-mail congress@ibiochemistry.by with the subject "Conference" or to the address Belarus, 230023, Grodno, Antonia Tyzenhaus sq., 7, Institute of Biochemistry of Biologically Active Compounds of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus no later than May 10, 2025:
